Tata Nexon

The battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes using the CCS2 fast charger in the Tata Nexon EV. The Tata Nexon EV comes in XM, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux variants. The ex-showroom price of the XM is Rs 13.99 lakh, the XZ+ is priced at Rs 15.39 lakh and the XZ+ Lux is priced at Rs 16.39 lakh.

This electric vehicle is equipped with a three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor that is capable of producing a maximum power of 127 hp. and maximum torque of 245 Nm. It is equipped with a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that gives the Tata EV a range of 312 kilometers on a single charge.

Tata Tigor EV

The Tata Tigor EV ex-showroom price in India starts at Rs 11.99 lakh, which is the price of the base XE trim. The XM trim costs Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom). While the ex-showroom price of the XZ+ trim is Rs 12.99 lakh. For customers interested in purchasing the car in a dual tone variant, the XZ+ Dual Tone variant will be available for purchase at an ex-showroom price of Rs 13.14 lakh.

The Tigor EV is powered by a 26 kWh liquid-cooled battery that produces 55 kW of power and 170 Nm of torque. Additionally, this battery is IP67 rated, making it waterproof. It features Tata’s high-voltage architecture – ZipTron, which helps the EV support fast charging. Using a fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 60 minutes. This EV is ARAI certified and has a range of 306 km on a full charge.

Inside, the Tigor EV features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with in-car iRA technology along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. For sound processing there are 4 speakers and 4 Twitter settings. It also has automatic climate control and a digital instrument cluster. For safety, the Tigor EV has dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), rear parking camera with parking sensors and a seat belt reminder for the front passenger. MG ZS EV

The MG ZS EV was launched in India in January last year, following which the company launched the car’s facelift in February this year. Priced at Rs 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, it comes with power and range and a luxurious interior.

Coming to power and features. The electric motor included in the latest MG ZS EV is capable of producing a maximum power of 143 PS. and a peak torque of 350 Nm, thanks to which this car can reach a speed of 100 kilometers per hour in just 8.5 seconds. It includes a high-tech battery with a capacity of 44.5 kWh, providing a maximum range of 419 kilometers. It takes 40 minutes to charge from 0-80 percent. Operates on an automatic transmission. Has 6 airbags. Its ground clearance is 177 mm, which is significantly higher than other cars in this segment.

It comes with an 8-inch infotainment system and a segment-first panoramic dual-glazed sunroof. The leather seats give it a luxurious feel. Heated and powered foldable ORVM is also its specialty. Hyundai Kona Electric

Hyundai Kona Electric price in India starts at Rs 23.79 lakh (ex-showroom) and its top model is available at Rs 23.97 lakh (ex-showroom).

The company has introduced the Indian model with a slightly different powertrain compared to the international model. In the global market, Kona Electric is available with 100 and 150 kW electric motors. Of these, the 100 kW motor is connected to a 39 kWh battery, which generates 136 hp. At the same time, the 150 kW motor is powered by a 64 kWh battery and generates 204 hp. However, the car was brought to India only with a version with a 100-kilowatt engine. The company claims that this car provides a range of 452 kilometers on a single charge. Thus, it is the car with the highest range under Rs 25 lakh.

This Kona Electric battery pack takes approximately 6 hours to fully charge. However, with a 50kW DC fast charger, this car will charge from 0 to 80 percent in just one hour, but currently these DC chargers are only available at Hyundai dealerships and Indian Oil petrol stations in select cities. The car also comes with a 2.8kW portable charger, which is a regular wall charger and takes around 19 hours to fully charge the car.

The car is equipped with four driving modes – Eco, Eco Plus, Comfort and Sport. Behind the steering wheel there are paddle shifters that can be used to control the regenerative braking system at several levels. This electric vehicle is equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, hill assist and vehicle stability control.

Additionally, this car comes with features like sunroof, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats and cruise control. The Kona Electric features a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity. It also has a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
