The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant will retail for $629 (roughly Rs. 42,600). The price of OnePlus 6 in India has not yet been announced. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is expected to be priced at Rs 36,999 in the Indian market. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will retail for Rs 39,999. The price of the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant is unknown.
In comparison, the OnePlus 5T price in India starts at Rs 32,999. There is an option with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 37,999.
OnePlus 6 vs OnePlus 5T: design differences
The biggest difference between the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 5T is the design. The company says that despite the OnePlus 6’s larger screen, its form factor is the same as the OnePlus 5T. However, there are some differences in size and weight. The OnePlus 6 dimensions are 155.7 x 75.4 x 7.75 mm and weighs 177 grams. The OnePlus 5T measures 156.1 x 75 x 7.3 millimeters and weighs 162 grams. This means the OnePlus 6 is slightly smaller, wider and thicker, and also weighs 15 grams more.
OnePlus 6 comes with a glass body. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used on both sides. Moreover, OnePlus 5T has an all-metal design. Gorilla Glass 5 protection is only available on the front panel. Despite the use of glass, OnePlus claims that the OnePlus 6 is stronger than the company’s older generation phones.
Another difference is the display with a cutout, like the iPhone X. In this cutout, the company placed the front camera, proximity sensor and earpiece. Whereas in OnePlus 5T all this hardware was present at the top. The fingerprint scanner in both smartphones is located on the rear panel. Additionally, OnePlus 6 has a vertical dual rear camera setup located at the center of the rear panel. The dual rear camera on the OnePlus 5T comes in a landscape format. It has a place in the upper left side of the smartphone.
The next important difference is the color option. The OnePlus 5T was available for the first time in Midnight Black color. Following this, special editions of Lava Red and Star Wars (White) were released. OnePlus 6 is available in Midnight Black and Mirror Black colors. Silk White Special Edition will be released next month.

The secondary sensor has a resolution of 20 megapixels. This Sony IM376K sensor has an F/1.7 aperture. The rear camera has dual LED flash. The company announced the possibility of slow-motion recording at 480 frames per second.
On the other hand, OnePlus 5T has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor. Has an aperture of F/1.7. The secondary camera is 20 megapixel. This Sony IMX376K sensor has an F/1.7 aperture. The dual rear camera of this phone comes with dual LED flash.
OnePlus 6 has a 16-megapixel front camera. It features a Sony IMX371 sensor, F/2.0 aperture and EIS. Users will now be able to enjoy portrait mode using the front camera. The OnePlus 6 used the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The maximum clock speed is 2.8 GHz. At the same time, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM are available for pairing. The OnePlus 5T used an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor. Its maximum clock speed is 2.45 GHz. In terms of RAM, customers can choose between 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM. Another big difference is storage. One of the OnePlus 6 variants will have 256GB of internal storage. The OnePlus 5T has a maximum storage capacity of 128GB. No smartphone supports microSD cards.
OnePlus 6 vs OnePlus 5T: Software differences
OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 5T run on Oxygen OS. This is the company’s own Android ROM. OnePlus 5T was launched with OxygenOS 4.7 but has now been updated to OxygenOS 5.1. This software will be available out of the box on the OnePlus 6. Both phones run Android 8.1 Oreo. There is no significant difference in the software of both phones.
