The screens of both phones have very thin bezels and a notch at the top. The cutout houses the selfie camera, earpiece grille and some sensors. Oppo F7 does not have an LED notification light, but Vivo V9 does. The position of the rear fingerprint sensor is almost the same. The Vivo V9 comes with dual rear cameras, while the Oppo F7 comes with just one.

Both smartphones used different hardware. Vivo V9 It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor while Oppo F7 is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. performance

Due to the different hardware, the experience of using both phones was different. Although these phones provide ease of use. Apps also load faster. But there is a difference in the test results. We found that the Oppo F7 performed better than the Vivo V9 in every test.

Talking about the software, both the phones come with Android 8.1 Oreo based UI. The Vivo V9 comes with the company’s Funtouch OS, while the F7 comes with ColorOS. Both user interfaces are very different from stock Android. You will have to learn a lot of new things. The Vivo UI looks more modern whereas the Oppo UI looks old.

Both phones have 19:9 screens, but app scaling is handled differently. Vivo runs apps in 18:9 or 16:9 aspect ratio. Because of this, the space around the cutout is not used. Oppo F7 allows apps to run in full screen mode and the user has the option to run other apps in full screen mode. Both phones allow you to change the aspect ratio so that the notch doesn’t block content.

cameras

It is clear that Vivo and Oppo have come up with different camera strategies. The Vivo V9 features a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Whereas the Oppo F7 has only a 16-megapixel camera. The Vivo V9’s 5-megapixel sensor works for depth sensing in portrait mode. The camera apps of both smartphones are packed with features. They also have a manual mode, which means you get more control. Vivo and Oppo have introduced a beautification mode that uses artificial intelligence to detect age, gender and skin tone. These phones also come with AR stickers. This means you can have a little fun while taking photos.

Photos taken with the Oppo F7 had vibrant colors. In comparison, the Vivo V9’s results were a bit lackluster. Auto HDR mode starts working automatically on both phones. But F7 performance is better. We found that the Vivo V9 failed to achieve accurate exposure in the highlights and shadows of the frame, resulting in a loss of detail. However, the performance of Oppo F7 was much better. These phones lock focus quickly, and we had no problems with macro photography. At the same time, thanks to the additional depth sensor for portrait shooting, the Vivo V9’s image quality is better. Vivo has given the user the option to simulate a smaller aperture, which gives a better depth effect.

The Oppo F7 also takes full advantage of its F/1.8 aperture. There is a huge difference in low light photography. The Vivo V9 struggles to capture colors and detail in low light, while the F7 performs better.

In Oppo F8, you will be able to record videos at a maximum resolution of 1080 pixels. At the same time, Vivo V9 has the ability to record 4K video. In terms of video, we found the Vivo V9 to produce more accurate colors and the Oppo F7’s video to be brighter. You’ll have to keep your hands steady on both phones as they don’t have stabilization.
