According to Google, the Nexus 5X features an ambient display. With its help, notifications will be visible on the screen and not much energy will be consumed. As soon as you pick up the phone, it automatically recognizes this and the screen goes into monochrome mode. However, during use, we encountered problems with this function.
Setting up your fingerprint is very simple: if you touch the sensor from any angle, it will recognize your fingerprint.
Marshmallow comes with a new Doze mode that is claimed to extend the device’s battery life. This feature automatically puts your device into low power mode when your phone is not in active mode. During this period, many applications will not be able to run in the background.
However, it also has some disadvantages. Now you won’t be able to easily find out your battery percentage. The notification light also goes off many times. To do this, you will have to make changes by going to settings.
camera
The camera app has improved from the previous version. However, you won’t immediately understand how to switch between modes.
When it comes to photography, the Nexus 5X performed well. Textures were quite detailed, compression was lacking. In daylight we were able to get some great close-up shots. Colors were vibrant and exposure was generally accurate. The camera was able to take good pictures even at night. However, this was not possible if the object was completely in shadow. When viewing photos at full size, noise became visible, and focus was sometimes lost. The front camera is useful for video chats.
performance
Most of the time, the Nexus 5X provided us with a great experience. Thanks to this hardware, the phone never slows down when digging into the operating system. 2GB RAM will do. We reviewed a device with a memory capacity of 32 GB, of which only 24.9 GB is available to the user. This means that users will not want to install heavy applications on the 16GB model.
The screen was a pleasure to use under any circumstances. It brightens and darkens depending on the conditions we like. All of our sample videos played on the Nexus 5X without issue. The sound from the phone’s front speaker was good.
We also did not encounter any problems with the phone heating. After playing continuously for 20 minutes, it got a little warm, but nothing to worry about. Communication with the LTE network was also good; there are no complaints about the quality of voice transmission.
The phone lasted 9 hours and 30 minutes in the video loop battery test. These results are good, but certainly not impressive.

The Google Nexus phone was liked by most people. The new Nexus 5X is especially important for those who were disappointed by the size and price of the Nexus 6. Users looking to upgrade from the Nexus 4 or 5 will be pleased with the Nexus 5X.
The clean Android interface remains unchanged even with Marshmallow. It’s more polished than before. This time, Google also tried to address the complaint about poor camera quality. On the other hand, it does not support microSD cards.
The Nexus 5X is a great phone, but spending Rs 31,900 for 16GB and Rs 35,900 for 32GB may not be worth it for many users. The reality of the Android market is that there are many devices available in the market today with similar features and specifications at a lower price. If you have no complaints about the price, then you have a choice of such excellent devices as the Samsung Galaxy S6.
